)I feel that Frank got what he deserved. Frank raped woman and then killed one; his punishment was jail. It was Frank’s decision to commit suicide.
)I can relate this book to Catcher in the Rye. Some of the common themes are death, professional misconduct, growing up, and sibling relations.
)I agree with Nicole. The parents in Catcher in the Rye are very similar to the parents in Montana 1948. They are very above the children.
)Matt compared Frank to Benjamin in Animal Farm. I think that is a great comparison, for they both sit back and relax and when they finally act on it, it is to late.
)I feel that it was a good decision for the family to leave Montana. They had no family that they were close with left and everyone will find out what happened. Also, agreeing with Mariana, it would be hard on David if they stayed. Now that they moved David has a lot more freedom.
)A history book only tells you one side of the story, and David told the story without Frank’s views.
